Australian compliance

The X3 Max is a pedal-assist electric bicycle. It has a 250W nominal continuous motor, motor assistance that cuts out at 25 km/h, and is built to the EN 15194 standard. That sits inside the NSW road-legal e-bike limits of 500W maximum continuous power and no motor power above 25 km/h, and inside the stricter 250W EN 15194 definition that becomes the NSW requirement from 1 March 2029. Because it meets the legal definition of a bicycle, no licence, registration or insurance is required. Riders must wear an approved helmet.
